Bilbao

We arrived at Bilbao bus station (conveniently close to San Mamés - home to Athletic Bilbao), so we took the obligatory La Liga Stadium photo. The old stadium is currently being demolished...

...and they're constructing the new one on the same site.

Outside the Guggenheim under the spider sculpture by Louise Bourgeois.

Water fog by Fujiko Nakaya.

Goddard in the Mist.

Spotted Marky Ramone outside.

Pratting around with the water.

Dave with Jeff Koons' massive 'Puppy'. Woof.

Explored Richard Serra's 'The Matter of Time' - which left Carrie feeling a bit sick.

Jeff Koons' 'Tulips'

Then onto the Alhondiga, designed by Philippe Starck. Originally wine warehouse, it's now a culture and leisure centre.

Its a massive space (43,000 sq ft) with lots of interesting features to discover. This is the view of the rooftop swimming pool from below - you can just about see a swimmer's arm.

There's 43 differently designed columns. This was a nice one.

Glass candy - Bilbao's Health Department building

Our visit was rounded off by the fantastic Stacey and Pablo taking us to the Bay of Biscay. Thanks for a funny night guys!
